We were excited for the reopening of this favorite local Cuban fare spot! We waited for 40 minutes, but it was worth the wait. Prices are reasonable for how large the plates are. Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and plated nicely. Every table and booth was filled with customers, and the waitresses and I imagine the kitchen staff were very busy; they definitely could use a hostess with organizing skills; our name was erased twice in error. A sign in sheet with a time would definitely be helpful. Of course, we had to order additional plates to bring home.

After 2 years I am really glad Florida Restaurant is back open. It has the same excellent service and very good Cuban food. It has a new and improved ambience and decors. And of course, one always ends one’s meal with a cup of Cortadito.

The recently reopened restaurant (after reconstruction after the fire 3 years ago) was just as good as always !!! The four of us had the lunch specials and the glass of house wine was only 5.50..... fabulous
